Betula BirchesBetulaceae

Seventy-two species of aphids in 18 genera feed on Betula. Although the degree of host plant specificity may be somewhat greater than in Alnus-feeding aphids, only a small number of aphid species seem to restrict their feeding to a single species of Betula. Therefore, as in the case of Alnus, a single key is provided to all birch-feeding aphids.
